Overview

Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society Education Assistance provides need-based grants & interest-free loans to eligible Navy & Marine Corps dependents and active-duty service members with orders to specific enlisted-to-officer programs so they reach their post-secondary education goals with less financial stress.

2027 Timeline

  • 2/16: Application Opens
  • 4/16: Application Closes
  • 5/21: Award Announcement
  • 7/7: Award Acceptance Deadline
  • 7/21: Awards Dispersed to Schools

Eligible Applicants

Applicants must be:

  • Child (under age 23 on September 30, 2027) of an active duty, retired or deceased Sailor or Marine.
  • Spouse of an active duty, retired or deceased Sailor or Marine.
  • Active-duty with orders to specific enlisted-to-officer programs (MECEP and MECP) are eligible for interest-free loan only.

  • Career & Technical Education
  • Associates Degree
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Masters Degree (spouses only)
